Welcome to Trondheim in 2011
Upon request, the abstract submission deadline for ICDL 2011 has been extended to November 1st., 2010.
The Conference forms one of a series of Conferences organized to provide an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of scientific knowledge and information on dielectric liquids. It is addressed to the materials scientist, physicist, chemist, biologist, and electrical engineer engaged in fundamental and applied research work or in technical investigations on such liquids. The 17th conference will be held in Trondheim in June 2011
2. Topics
The ICDL is an interdisciplinary forum for topics relating to liquid dielectrics. Examples of relevant topics are:
- Basic properties (ionization, conductivity, interfacial effects, space charge)
- Modeling and theory
- Prebreakdown and breakdown phenomena
- Biophysics and related phenomena (aqueous liquids)
- Radiation induced processes, detectors and application.
- Measuring techniques (material characterization, diagnostics)
- Materials (insulation, molten polymers, water, liquid crystals, new liquids, emulsions etc.)
- Electro-hydrodynamics (charge-induced flow, electrocoalescence, electrorheology)
- Applications (electrical insulation, static electrification, EHD pumps)
